Thats crazy! I don't remember the triple ripple icecream cone but it sounds good!

Our town was too small to have a McDonald’s. We had to drive over to the next “big” town. 😂

I actually remember when they started the combo "#1" meals... It was all downhill from there

What, Filet of Fish was there from the start? Wow! Where’s the triple ice cream cone? They need to bring that back! 😋 I am old, I live not to far from the original McDonalds and don’t remember it at all without combos. Why oh why do people have tantrums when they’re out of chicken nuggets? Don’t people have cardboard at home to eat?🤣

There were no mcDonalds in my small town. Or not in the large one, next to us. We had whopper Burger, whataburggr and Jim’s Frontier. As far as I know here we still have them. We ate lunch last week at Jim’s. I had a breakfast of eggs. Bacon and fruit salad. My husband had a full normal breakfast with hash browns and toast. Our oldest son had a cheeseburger and fries. Our bill was &30.00. Not bad.

When I was a kid, my mom would give my neighbor and I each $2.00, we'd ride our bicycles to McD's and be stuffed!! 🚲 🍔🍟🥤🥧

Makes sense. Look at what typical house costs now vs less than $100k back then.

Less than $100K, Kat? Lower than that in a lot of places. My parents bought a house in 1971 for $25,000

When I was a kid, there was NO special ordering -- like even asking them to hold the onion -- at McDonald's. You took the sandwich like they made the sandwich, end of story. Burger King made a whole ad campaign out of the fact that they would: "Hold the pickle, hold the lettuce, special orders don't upset us!" 🤣

Year of my birth... How we all have changed. 😊

I worked at McDs back in 99’ They had an “All American” meal which consisted of a cheese burger, small fry and drink for 2.50. The Big Mac was the same price. Things sure have changed

I was about 20 years old and remember these prices. I remember when they started selling Big Macs and the Quarter Pounder...

I remember in 72 McDonald's had a promotion that if you could say the ingredients to the big Mac without slipping up, you would get a free one. Too this day I can still say it.

caraken if you eat at Jim's we are probably neighbors. We eat there when we are in the city.🌇

I'll take two Big Macs. a large fry, an apple pie, and a chocolate shake. For less than $3.

Unfortunately, those McDonald prices are probably gone forever. - I remember the Big Mac song too.

ImalittleLESSfluffyNIW... Yep that's the jingle. Funny that I can remember that but can't remember where I put my phone most of the time! 🤪

Before the was so much focus on corporate branding, there were jingles. They're so catchy they stick with us for decades. I mean there's the Intel chime, the McDonald's "bah da buh ba da", but nothing in the level of "Wash and go, Pert Plus" or "Just for the taste of it... Diet Coke". I mean, aren't you glad you used Dial?
