My Love/Hate (mostlty hate) relationship with Keto continues to develop. I've been experiencing some unpleasant "gastrointestinal behaviour" of late, which a bit of Google-Fu reveals is a common side effect of the Keto diet - sometimes temporary, often lasting as long as the diet. Saturday night it felt like I'd been stabbed in the guts with John Rambo's hunting knife. Since then... let's just say that I need to head down to Bunnings for a can of "Harden The Fuck Up".

Once again, I believe my continued suffering of this diet hangs on the number on my bathroom scales show before my "One Meal A Day" this evening. I can handle a little discomfort if it proves worthwile, and unfortunatelty it has, so far. If you look at my weight loss chart, you'll see I hit a plateu at 125.4kg (I think due to illness). To put the boot to my diet and get things moving again, I started Keto and somehow lost 4.5kg in just eight days, which is fucking insane! I strongly doubt that the trend will continue, as ten days later it's already showing signs of slowing down and "rubber-banding" back to a more realistic weight. I have my fingers and toes crossed that Keto turns out to be no more effective than regular CICO and OMAD, because holy fuck do I miss carbs!

If I do drop Keto, I think I'll shave 100 calories off my allowance and go with 1600cal for a while. Kinda hard to get to 1700cal with one meal a day anyways - there's only so much room in my oven.
