The year in review (long read):

Weight: January 1 through June 22, I gained over 15 pounds (for a total of 60 pounds gained from the previous June). From June 23 through today, I've lost 39 pounds.

Exercise: From January 1 through the end of October, I did almost zero exercise. Starting Just before Halloween, I started walking one mile a day. Eleven days later, I increased that to 1.5 miles a day. After 50 days of 1-1/2 miles, I increased to two miles a day six days ago. In short, I developed the habit of exercising daily!

Water: Decreased the amount of Diet Coke I drink from 2+ liters a day, to three 12- oz cans most days. Increased water consumption from ZERO water to an average of 8 cups a day. Developed the habit of drinking water!

Logging: I've logged everything I've eaten, every day since June 23rd.

Journaling: I've made a Journal entry almost every day (at least 5 days a week, I'd say).

Calories: Went from an average of 3,500 calories a day (gaining weight every week) to under 2,000 calories every day, with an average around 1,600 daily.

Spiritual: I've developed the habit of praying for the seven most important people in my life every day. I read (while audibly listening to) the entire Bible through, and then re-read all four gospels during this past year. I attended church almost every Sunday.

Mental: At the beginning of the year, I read several self-improvement books.

Financial: We paid off our credit card balance in full each month and have no outstanding debt.

Family: We've been able to help our children through some difficult financial times, and have supported them in other ways. We've spent quality time with our grandchildren, and have cultivated our relationships with them.

I acknowledge the part God has played in each of these victories! Without Him, I could not have done any of it. I'm praying He will continue to give me the motivation and determination I need to continue with the good habits He's formed in me this year, and that He will forge new habits that will benefit me in the coming year.

Thank you for my post, I had just posted my goals (I don't call them resolution, but goals) for 2023, and after reading your list realized I have forgotten to include my financial goals.
