Today, I had a very strong desire to bake a batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies with pecans. I would have eaten at least three (321 calories) every day until they were gone. I was able to resist that temptation, PTL. But, I indulged in a tiny chocolate Sundae instead: 1/3 cup Blue Bell Vanilla Bean ice cream (60 calories), five Pecan Halves (49 calories), and 1/2 Tbsp Hershey Chocolate Syrup (20 calories. Total damage: 129 calories. I had 1/4 cup of ice cream on 11/9; but other than that, I’ve had NO ice cream since 6/23/22. That’s a pretty good accomplishment - especially since it is always in the freezer for my husband, who eats it almost nightly. Considering that the cookie calories would have perpetuated for at least a week, I feel pretty good about my choice.

Awesome!! I'm going to try that after I've been on my clean eating a few more months. I'm so afraid that once I do something like that I won't be able to stop. I know me well💖😁

That's the only thing that sucks about dieting. For me it seems like there will be snacks that I like when I'am dieting but when I'am not dieting it won't be there for me to eat.

I love pecans! throwing them in some ice cream sounds delicious. good job on a satisfying alternative!

for sure a better choice. Also, 5 cookies per day for a week? FFFT, you amateur, lol. 2 days would see them gone for me. Which is why I'm doing no sugar, for nearly a year now, and plan to stay that way. "moderation" is not apparently in my vocab, so yay for you that it is!

good choice, ice cream is my weakness and I've recently started stocking the freezer with halo top so when I inevitably lose my will power, I can eat without destroying my calories

Sugary things weren't in cereals back in the old days that's what my parents tell us kids. I do believe it because all we eat is sugar no matter what we eat or drink there is no avoiding sugar intake.
