1# in a day means water weight. My body is using more energy than usual to get better but not enough to lose a pound. Eating half what I should but I think today will be normal. Getting my appetite back somewhat. The thought of eggs rolled my stomach so treating myself to two donuts! Snow day because we had ice overnight so also treated myself to hot tea and the kids for apple cider.

(Note to self: Game plan for if in-laws show up. Don’t bother reading (; )
Game tonight is canceled grrr. Only one left next week now. That means we can expect the in-laws to sneak in and try to take over. I invited my aunts to the last game as they’ve been busy and this was the home game that worked for all of us. I’m not gonna worry about it though. That’s the good thing about my new meds. I can have a good idea they’ll show up yet I don’t worry. I plan to embarrass the crap out of them enough so that they start respecting our boundaries and our kids’ wishes. They sure don’t want everyone to know that their presents upsets my oldest enough that she can’t focus on the game. They definitely don’t want people to know that they know this and come anyway. Sports is a huge thing to them and this community. Not only are they messing with my kid, the community will see it as me being gripey but them messing with their sports which is way worse. I love having medication that calms me down enough that I can think things through rather than worry. Who knows, they may prove me wrong and stay home. They didn’t for the tournament we asked them to not come to and we ended up losing (my kid all of a sudden couldn’t make a good pass, couldn’t catch the ball and couldn’t make a shot yet she’s a starter and is one of the better ball handlers on the team). Nowhere else to write out my feelings so I’ll keep this right here to refer back to if I start worrying or getting anxious. A decent plan is better than no plan in order to keep stress to a minimum. :) Mine is much nicer than my daughter’s plan to call them out herself and shame them for messing with her mind during a game, not respecting her wishes and calling the school pretending to be her mom to get information on her school activities. So far she’s accepted my plan but if it doesn’t work... perhaps I need to check into an anxiety med for her rather than an antidepressant/anxiety combo. Perhaps this one isn’t quite enough. But it is helping with the depression. She’s way happier and nicer. She still gets the teen attitude from time to time. She still gets way upset thinking about the in-laws but at least it’s not extreme anxiety now or flat out pissed off. About 4 weeks in so we will see how she is doing in another 4 weeks.

I love hot apple cider. I can only drink it highly diluted since warming it up brings out the sweet something fierce for me. Enjoy your snow day!

I noticed that last Christmas. I hadn’t noticed how sweet it was before and just assumed it was because I’ve been dieting and not eating sweets 24/7 like I used to. A normal day in high school was: Pop tarts and a coke followed by school breakfast. School lunch followed by a coke and Reece’s. Sandwich and chips after school along with a snack cake if we had any and another coke. Dinner than sometimes another snack before bed. I drank coke and Mt Dew so it cousins been either depending on the day. Now I try to get in one sweet item a day because I feel too restricted without it.
