alixashe's Journal, 27 Feb 19

This is soooo frustrating. I am eating around 1500 cals a day, I am working out, or do a big walk/jog if not going to the gym...EVERY DAY!
I am so tired despite eating incredibly. I don't smoke or drink. I take vitamins, for Pete's sake!
My body has completely changed. My hips have gone, my face has slimmed down, but I am utterly exhausted. I am also constipated beyond a joke, despite taking Metamucil, watching my fibre intake and drinking 2 - 3 litres of water a day.
What am I doing wrong?! The first 5 kgs fell of without me even knowing, then I started FatSecret, (which I LOVE), and the next 5 came off relatively easily, but now I am completely stuck and nothing is changing.
I have a OT session on Friday, so I will get her advice. At first I wasn't eating enough at 1000 - 1200 cals, so I upped to 1500. I lost a wee little bit, but I am hovering around this awful, weight.
Sorry about the rant. I just feel unbelievably exhausted all the time, and could sleep for days.

I have been sitting on 1600 Cal's for many months and I find some days I am full of energy and other days flat. Did a 3 month review of nutrients and found flat spots were caused by too low potassium and salt intake. Very easy to have low potassium intake. Good sources of potassium are baked beans, sweet potatoes, avacardo, apricots, fruits and some vegies. Heart performance is by low potassium levels.

Nubile. Thank you. That's great advice. Sodium I watch very closely but I wouldn't have a clear about potassium. Time to start really watching the macros. 🙂

Nubile?? Hahahahaha. Apparently my autocorrect decided to make assumptions about you, MyBike! 😆

Thank you Porkchop. I thought about that too. Just changed up my workout and will give it a couple of weeks. If things don't start changing then I will get a full panel done. So far, though, it looks like it is starting to change. X

Hi Alixashe, had a glance at your food diary, a real shortage NATURAL sugar in your diet from fruit and vegetables. To much bad processed sugar. Fruit and vegies will help solve your constipation issue and add pottassium and magnesium for endurance. The revised national salt intake recommended limit is 1500mg and max of 2300mg per day. Have fun.

Sodium is one thing I have never concerned myself with. I probably eat way to much hahaha but I sweat it all out while everyone is sleeping before work lol.

MyBike, sodium is fine, been watching it closely. I will really look into upping my fruits and vegetables. Thank you 😊
