Hubby’s omron scale must be messed up. Now it shows I’ve lost 2# in 6 days but gained 5% BF and lost 5% muscle lol. I’ll have to clean it and try it again next week. I know we were outside for a couple hours yesterday (picked up limbs hubby cut, picked and weeded the asparagus, collected eggs, fixed the chicken pen etc) and I didn’t drink enough water. Maybe that’s it.

So this does happen from time to time with mine, too, which is why I don't freak out. Just watch the trends.

My actual body scans from last year show that I gained 4#, 1.5# muscle and gained 2.5# bf (1.3%bf) over 6 months. I learned that I need a smaller surplus to not gain so much fat along with the muscle. I know there’s no way I gained 5% bf in a week so I’m not worried. This scale routinely likes to show that I’m 30-35% bf when the scans showed 25.8% & 27.1%. I’m hoping to get down to 25% or less before Christmas this year. My ultimate goal is 20-22%. To do that I have to stop with the Cadbury eggs and the snickers I think 😭.

I cleaned the scale and recalibrated it. It’s still off from last week but when I look back to the last morning I did it last fall it shows I’ve lost 0.8# and 1.8% BF. It shows I’ve gained 1.4% SM. From a year ago I’ve lost lost 0.6# and 1.7% BF and gained 1.3% SM. So when looking at that time frame I’ve lost a little bit of fat rather than gained lol.
