I’m now the same weight I was when I graduated high school over 20 years ago! Whoohoo. Perhaps my original goal of 110-115 is possible if I keep losing like this without meaning to. Just hope it’s not muscle I’m slowly losing. I don’t see fat coming off of anywhere.

Lost appetite? Losing weight without trying

Balance is so important. Hope you find the healthy weight and amount of daily/weekly exercise for life long health. It isn't always about achieving prior weight. My lowest weights were my most unhealthy. Try to get away from prior benchmarks unless at 110 you were on a healthy diet and exercise. Stay healthy and fuel your body with nutrients and exercise for health of body mind and soul !

HCB not really. Some days if I’ve been in the heat I don’t feel like eating much. Other than that my appetite is normal. The dr suggested stress from the testing but that’s all over and I’m still losing slowly. It’s been brought up on another post that perhaps my Apple Watch is off and a reminder that the food logged on here is an estimate.

CCC, at 110 I was 16 lol. Best shape of my life. However I’ve had three kids, cancer etc since then. My lowest after that was 107 and it was unhealthy. A stress weight loss. Im perfectly fine right where I am. My diet isn’t the healthiest but I still get to eat the foods I want. It’s probably healthier than it’s ever been since I grew up with corn and carrots as the only veggies with beef, pork and potatoes being the main thing I ate. Now I add in chicken and more veggies. I eat less junk like honey buns and pop tarts lol. Half my meals back then were things like that. Now I have one item a day that’s like that. Sometimes two or three if I need to add in calories but it’s not half my day lol.

You did spend some time trying to gain to get more muscles and I was paying attention to see if it would work. That would have offset what your body wanted to do. I think it's good to let it do what it wants as long as we don't become underweight or overweight whatever that is because we are all different. You're doing very well!

I am referring to weight when I say let the body do what it wants. I would start changing things if I become underweight or have extra weight that is hindering me.

Thanks! I still lift weights. Dr said I may just not be able to gain much more with my bone structure and health issues. She’s requested I take it easy until after the cardiologist checks me out. I take longer breaks when needed and I’ve went down on some weights but my current goal is to maintain what I have and if I gain great but I’m not pushing it.

That's awesome! That's a great feeling, I know. 👏

Thanks Lonnie! Ireland, that’s what I’m doing. I would like to figure it out but all in all it’s no biggie. If I hit 115 without trying I’ll start watching more. If it goes lower than that or 110, I’ll talk to my dr. I figure my body did as it liked when I was dieting so it’ll do what it likes now lol. I have to say I like what it’s doing now better than when it didn’t want to lose fat at 1200 kcal lol.

Thanks everyone! Alla, it took me around 11 months. BUT I only lost about 40#. I went ‘slow’. My BMR should be around 1300 a day and I was eating 1200-1400 back then. I also had 100-300 extra burn per day just doing housework, playing with the kids etc. Since losing the weight I’ve been up and down from 120-128 off and on the last year or two. Added in weight lifting 3x a week and make sure I burn 200 kcal each session. Since it’s summer I also help weed and pick the garden plus we’ve done some work with the flower beds.

Sounds like you are doing everything you should right now, and I guess if your body wants to be lighter it does! So congratulations, not so much on your number now, but for all the work you put in to becoming strong... making the choice to work those muscles, eat better, and fight for your health! Wonderful!!!! ❤️

Thanks! My body does what it wants. I would just like to figure out why it does what it does when it does lol.
