Debbie Cousins's Journal, 23 Aug 20

See that cloud of dust behind you? That's me, being dragged through the dust from the wagon that I fell off of and am trying to cling onto. After my one "planned" day off, I got right back onto the program for one day. Since then, I've been off course for three days. It's 11:24 am, and I've already had two breakfasts and two small bowls of ice cream. (Thankfully, that finishes it off, though.) I have a scheduled doctor appointment on Tuesday. Maybe he'll tell me that there is some new miracle drug I can take that will make me shed the pounds - either something that will counteract the food I'm eating, or will give me the willpower to NOT eat it in the first place. Feeling very defeated again, and I've got nobody to blame except myself.

Debbie, I can relate, hang onto that wagon & you will be able to pull yourself up BUT I know saying all that does not help what you are going through right now. I've been there and know I cannot have ANYTHING in my house that is not on my woe. When my kids are here there is temptation ALL over the place and I give in. Especially ice cream! I've had cravings this past week but have avoided going to the store since I know if I buy it I will eat the entire carton. Take care and be kind to yourself, just not with food that is not on your woe lol

Debbie, don't knock yourself out. If we were perfect there would be no need for this wonderfully encouraging site. I can emphasize, I get a phone call with bad news, I head for the fridge or snack drawer. hang in there🙏😷😉

Icecream who said icecream..where... I don't buy it anymore because it haunts me. You are still holding on to the wagon, please don't let go. Eating too much or junk makes us feel good while we are doing so but then afterward we feel even worse. We are here for you. I started writing down all my emotions lately so at least I can share it even if only on paper. We are here for you whenever you need to chat or vent.
