Debbie Cousins's Journal, 24 Aug 20

Up 6 pounds from my stall point of 236. Now 242 this morning. Been totally out of control. Had PBJ for breakfast again this morning. Been up a couple of hours and thinking about going back to bed. NO motivation. Been letting the housework go and just playing Scrabble online all day. Yeah, I think I'll go back to bed!

Go for a walk outside. Don’t get discouraged ~ you can do this 😃

I agree with Valerie. Go outside and lift your arms to the sky and give a big thank you for the day being so beautiful and you living to see it. Take a 15 minute walk and enjoy. NO GOING BACK TO BED!

Go for a walk or a drive, change the scenery for a bit, don’t beat yourself up. I have been at a plateau and yes it is tempting to let things slide but hang hang in there!

Awe Debbie, I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. Have you spoken to the doctor about how you are feeling? If you look at the last 6 months, last year, and beyond are these feelings new? What changed? Please don't give up on yourself. Take a look at what is going on and get some help to figure it out. (((Hugs))) P.S. I have been there too so I feel I understand how hard it is but you can't give up.

sorry you are down, I can relate and have been stuck in that mood at times. Lately I've been taking more minerals & vitamins and that is finally starting to make a difference. I also read a good motivational book about positive attraction (from the library). It is short and easy to read. Law of attraction, plain, and simple by Sonia Ricotti Alot of common sense stuff, but I really need to read, digest (the words not the junkfood!) and read again. Take care of YOU !

Ok, sis! We are here to motivate one another, and that’s what I’m going to do today! HERE IS YOUR MESSAGE to get out for a 5 min. Walk today! Tell your self 3 good things about your self, and find 3 things to be grateful for! Do this every day for a week, then add some minutes to your walk! I believe in you! You have complete control...don’t let the bad moments dictate your whole day! :)

Debbie don't give up! Here's what I do: 1. Find some music on YouTube, Spotify, Pandora, etc. to put on my phone that gets me going. 2. Watch marathon, ultramarathon, endurance athletes train on YouTube for inspiration. If they can run 140 miles a week, I can walk for 20 minutes. 3. I tell myself I'm just going to walk 20 minutes or just workout for 20 minutes at the gym. 4. @JMA312 is right on about the vitamins. I'm on low carb and I die out come mid-week so I take B-12 everday along with multi-vitamins to keep me on track. 5. If you have a gym, I rotate through machines: 15 minutes on the stair stepper, 10 minutes on the ellipse, 10 minutes on the treadmill. Before you know it, you're done. It does seem like a much shorter workout session when you break it up on different machines. 6. Meetup.com for your area does have great walking, running, hiking, and walking groups. You'll dig your way out! Best to you.

I'm reading through all the suggestions as I seem to be in the same funk...it is so hard to pull myself up and out of the misery it seems impossible at times. I have no advice, just know that you are not alone...

You are not alone. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall off as long as you keep getting back up.

Don’t give up. Slept for practically 2 days - exhausted with upset stomach - had to motivate and get outside to water grass, tree and bushes. Felt better after getting outside. Please take the advice from other FS members it really works. Not asking you to do a marathon but just a leisure 15 minute walk might do wonders for your attitude plus you got exercise at same time.

My trainer has suggested cheat days. Just make this your cheat day and begin again tomorrow. A walk always helps me, just make yourself go. It helps declutter your mind.

I am also 'climbing back up the scale' :( I am pretty sure I will end up doing a 5-7 day water fast soon...

I spent way too much time over the past couple months playing Candy Crush etc. Trying at the moment to quit playing them.

Debbie I’m sorry you’re in a funk. It happens to the best of us😁 Don’t let this hold you back though. Easier said than done, I know 100%. But you can do it.🥰
