Debbie Cousins's Journal, 06 Sep 20

Still eating anything I want, but logging it all. Yesterday was a slightly higher day than the two before. Logging what I eat DOES help me to not eat quite as much as I otherwise would. Measuring portions only takes a second, and it keeps me from gorging myself on things like chips and ice cream. I'm still eating those things, but not as much as I would be without logging. Weight is going down just a tad each day, for which I am thankful. I've been trying not to put myself down or berate myself for eating the things I love. I'll get there.

Hi Debbie, I am insulin resistent (translation : Pre diabetic) The carbs make my liver convert them to suger, which I can't fight off with insulin so they get stored as fat. I've had two very high carb days in a row and my weight goes up! My favorite meal is a huge salad of greens, chopped hard boiled egg and chopped avocado with bacon and crumbled blue cheese. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing. I also have to keep my sodium under 1500mg (high blood pressure) and I strive to get 8 cups of water a day. That's tough though. Your struggle really hits a cord with me. I wish you the very best success on this journey. Right here with you. You have been my inspiration for more than a year and a half, Debbie. Hang in there!

Debbie, you are certainly on right track. That old saying, bite it, write it is so true. Although I cheated last night with Chinese my favorite is salad with hard boiled eggs, grated cheese and french fried onions. Any dressing is fine. I really admire your spirit.. Be safe.😷🙏🤗

Logging is great for me because I automatically eat a bit less plus I can look at trends for what causes me to over eat. 📆

I am sure with y'all on the "bite it, write it" . It is still a struggle but really does make me think when I know I have to write it down! Good luck everyone!

Logging is vital for me, even if I go completely overboard and eat like crazy, I write it down. It helps me to see it in writing, even my worst days.
