Looking at my results prior to this morning I had stopped caring about the weight-loss and instead focusing on exercise, sleep and trying to keep diet as clean as possible. I am pleasantly surprised at my weight reading and I will continue to put in the work which is hard as I work yesterday with my energy levels at 1/10 but I managed to turn this around by having some green tea, alternating hot and cold shower (Cold really wakes you up) and actually going for a work-out after about an hour funnily enough. Unfortunately I have run out of blood ketone test strips so have no idea what level of ketosis my body is in. I am now sleeping earlier so I am happy with this win. Will soldier on.

That’s a great result. Don’t focus on the zigzags in the weight graph so much, some days there will be apparent gains, but the downward average trend is what you look for. Some days are diamonds, some days are stones.

Lol, I like the qoute some days are diamonds some days are stones, you are correct but sometimes its difficult not to notice the spikes when you are putting in a lot of effort.

Yes, it’s a battleground. Apparently my body is coded to deal with both famine and hard work - it doesn’t like an easy life with lots of food. I just can’t give in, this time around it is even more important for my health - I expect my weigh-in results to go backwards, but from past experience I know setbacks are temporary blips.

I sometimes use the ketone urine test strips which are super cheap from the chemist. The result is only a general guide but it can be helpful to shoe somewhere in the ballpark of ketosis.

I used to like the keto urinalysis strips until I got the optium neo blood ketone device, which for me was a game changer as I could really fine tune my diet & related exercise. However those strips are 5 to 10 times the cost of the keto strips so depends level of info you need or if you are paranoid. Because I use the optium machine everyday I bought the AccuChek Fastclix Device because I could not stand the pain everytime I poked my finger and my fastclix device os a godsend.

Cool! I imagine the blood tester would be much more precise.

Definitely, but I think the strips made me work a lot harder I was always trying to keep them purple and I could test my self 3-4 times a day with no worries, blood I just stick to once a day which is the most I can do.
