Still up 1# from Jan 27 and up 144 calories for the entire 30+ days. Guess my cutting back did help somewhat. Better than being up 3-4# lol.

HCB I’m decent. Go for an MRI Tuesday so we can hopefully formulate a plan to work on my pinched nerve since meds aren’t keeping the pain at bay. Meds work about 6 hours a day and I’m asleep 2 of those hours lol. Good thing I’ve become accustomed to some pain! Weekly massages weren’t even helping as I went to the dr an hour after one massage and she said I was tense and tight again already. That’s when she doubled the nerve pain pill and ordered the mri. How have you been? I haven’t been seeing you in my feed lately.

Lonnie, I can, in fact, argue with my scale. It just doesn’t listen and usually fights back by adding a few ounces the next time I weigh lol.

When the scale is being jerky, I always try to invoke other good things about my WOE. Like my better body image, my energy, my attitude, and my lessened fears about aging. Those altinate focuses seem to set up a better frame of mind . I can live, change,and face the beast!!👠🩱🥳🤓

I don’t want anyone to take me wrong. I find the scale not moving and my body not doing what I expect it to do frustrating but it’s not the end of the world for me or anything. I like to gritch and grouch about it lol. But I know it’ll eventually go down. I gave myself until today for it to move even one pound down. If not then I was going to cut calories more and up movement. I’m limited right now as I have a nerve pain issue in my neck. Makes lifting weights or even going on a walk difficult most days. I have surgery in 2.5 weeks then 6+ weeks of nothing but normal slow easy walks. BUT I always lose a bit after a surgery. This time I’m getting an implant so I’ll probably even out or gain slightly. (Implant should weigh 1-1.5#, and I normally lose 1-2# after swelling goes down) My main goal was to be as close to 122-124 before surgery as I could. Again, I just like to gritch lol. Right now my positivity is coming in the form of tv, reading, games and whatever candy I can afford to eat haha. I’m candy poor lately though.

I like that word gritch! 😊 I like to gritch and grouch too! You just feel better after! Even though I know its a slow process. Some days I just want it to go faster. But I know I'll be happier in the long run if I don't try to cut calories too much or overdo it exercising! Thats exciting your surgery is coming up! Not because you're having surgery but I'm sure you're looking forward to being balanced!

My brain needs rewired lol. I’m actually getting an expander but he will fill it a bit at surgery. For some reason I was thinking implant but I only have maybe a 1% chance if that lol. I have an mri scheduled in 31 hours! Will see what we can do with that on the nerve pain then surgery March 17th! Can’t wait to figure out the pain issues then yes get evened up a bit lol. Lifted weights today (65# decline and incline and was 95#) and really struggled with keeping my shoulders tucked. The right one comes out every single rep! It didn’t do that when I had an implant. Massage therapist says she can tell a big difference and thinks after I get the expander and mostly filled that my back and shoulders might even out again. Left muscles are pulling to the right and that’s causing some weakness on the left side to add to the pain on my right side lol. Man I feel old! I remember hearing ‘gritch and grouch’ as a kid and fit some reason that saying is in my head lately lol. Sounds better than the “B” version! I have rants and that helps. A friend and I talk for hours on end (8+ hours the other night which meant I got to sleep at like 4am lol) and just rant and vent to each other. It’s therapeutic! We always end on a good note talking about weight loss, yoga, weightlifting or some other topic of the day.
