So back to normality, after experimenting, so that I could try and see different perspectives. 1st thing is that I would never do a fast that long ever. Although they were positive effects and a lot of water loss (Lost 5.8kg gained back 2.1kg), I would not recommend fasting that long. The best way I think is if one is able to be active is to walk a minimum of 10000 steps a day and watch food input, calories in vs out. I have had the greatest success at weight-loss eating 6 times a day and exercising but there I many methods such as intermittent fasting, 5 days on and 2 days off that I now respect. I am now embarking on my journey to a healthier me with a clear mind.

💡👍🏻 Glad you’ve come to that understanding. I was concerned that it was too much! My fasts never go beyond about 36 hours, even that is excessive in my view. The benefits of fast on the glucose/glycogen cycle kick in at about 18 hours, so extending beyond that for a few hours is fine, but ideally it should all be done and dusted within a 24 hour timeframe.

yeh I think fasting that long is crazy and can lead to unhealthy eating habits. I mostly only fast for 16-18 hours (no breakfast) and eat relatively normally otherwise (haven't counted my macros since March). I find I'm more sensitive to sugar and caffeine now and it only takes me 24 hours to use up my entire glycogen supply.
