Debbie Cousins's Journal, 08 Jul 21

A little too much going in and not enough coming out. I feel like today is going to be a good day. Have Physical Therapy, a small BJ's shopping run, and then my phone Bible Study - I do best when I have a lot of activity.

Great Wolf Lodge is finally only two weeks away. I really hope the kids will have a good time, be exceptionally good (which they usually are), and that my husband and I won't DIE or be injured by all the extra activity. He has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and it is very easy for him to dislocate a joint. I've got two bum knees, which aren't to the point I was hoping they would be before our trip. Oh well, it is what it is, and we'll make the best of it!

When I was your age, I too could eat the things you eat and as long as I kept my calories down, my weight would stay down. Not any more. You mentioned to me again to restart IF. Sounds like you didn't see my answer to you last time. I do Intermittent Fasting more than 99% of the time. I haven't stopped in the 3 years since I started. Since your husband's EDS is a disease that weakens the connective tissues of your body I assume he takes Collagen. Although I buy capsules at Costco it can be purchased anywhere. I've been slacking off. It's a protein our whole body needs and broth or gelatin are the only ways of getting it (naturally) other than powder or capsules. I need it especially for my bones, and want it to help with saggy skin. I am reminded to start up again, since I have been negligent.

@Snowwhite100, No, my husband doesn't take Collagen or Glucosamine Chondroitin. He's tried those things, but they didn't do anything for him. Glad to hear that you reminded yourself of them, since they DO work for you, though! Hi @catwmncat and @shirfleur 1!
