Had some healthy things to eat yesterday, and had managed to keep my calories fairly reasonable UNTIL I couldn't go to sleep until four hours after I got into bed. Got up twice and ATE. I I had a country ham biscuit WITH a small bag of Cheetos, and ate some more watermelon. Ended up being over 2,200 for the day.

I WAS happy that I managed to limit my Chesapeake cookie consumption to ONE cookie (130 calories) with 1/4 cup of milk for dipping. Usually I eat four of those at a sitting, and finish off the whole package (8 x 130 = 1,040 calories!) in one day, so - progress.

Weight was back up to 209.8 this morning, but PTL it was under 210. Going to try to make good choices today. I'd like to try to keep calories at or below 1,600 daily. With as much as I snack, that's a real challenge, but it can be done.

You sound like me...4hours after your already in bed and that other person takes over! It is my worst habit that I've tried to fix all my life. I've been trying to treat myself some days by eating extra calories on purpose with some type of healthy foods. It helps most of the time. I like what Catwmncat said, "Progress, not perfection!." It's now on a post it at my desk.

Hi Deb, Yesterday is gone and today may still be a challenge but it is doable. Maybe you can "get your mind right and count your successes if you break it down into 4 hour periods of success. I'm hoping you find it easy to stay on task today.
