ALMOST ended the day just under 1,500 yesterday but then couldn't go to sleep and got up and ate some more, resulting in 1,772 calories, which is pretty good for me. Scale showing a 2-pound loss this morning, which was a nice surprise!

Quiet day planned for today. I'll have the kids for the pool on Wednesday, and then I'll pick them up on Thursday afternoon for them to spend the night and do the pool again on Friday. (My daughter has a work thing she has to go to tomorrow night.) The swim instructor is meeting us at the community pool on Wednesday to work with my 5-year-old in "the well" (the 12' deep part of the pool) and jumping off the diving board. He's ALMOST to the point where he might not drown if he fell into the 12' water.

Didn't do very well on limiting snacks yesterday, but DID choose many low-calorie things for all those extra times I wanted to eat - English cucumber, cabbage, watermelon, pineapple. The English cucumber is especially good for snacking because it's crunchy, and I can eat a whole, long cucumber for only 34 calories.

Might have to drink water today. I've had a sore on the back of my tongue for two days. When I drink Diet Coke out of the straw, it makes the place rub on a broken back tooth (which doesn't usually bother me). I discovered this morning that when I drink water out of the bottle, it doesn't cause the tongue pain.
