I attended a buffet dinner yesterday and was not even tempted by the amazing desserts. I stuck to plain cooked prawns, mussels, a small piece of chicken and a small plain salad with over a litre of water. I would have liked a glass of wine or nineteen - but that is what led me here, so no. My grateful thanks to the chefs who kept the dressings separate.

The Lillie Ross Souper Soup Diet really works for me. When I make the soup I only add enough liquid to just cover the vegetables in the pot, nowhere near as much as they say (about twice that). My soup is quite solid, hearty and filling. Just watch out for the huge bowel movements in the first couple of days. Use your intelligence, if you begin to suffer headaches or dizziness or the shakes then you are overdoing it and causing damage to yourself. Have a proper meal of meat and vegies or salad and rest; perhaps take it up again later. This diet is NOT for everyone. If you are on any prescribed medication, check first with your doctor.

Great job on resisting all the temptations of the buffet and wine! I eat soup for dinner but have to eat proper meals during the day otherwise I don't have the energy for my little girls. Good on you for mentioning these things there's no point in doing it if you are going to feel like crap all day but looks like it is the right thing for you and you're doing great!
