Quick Updates:

(1) pork roast turned out deliciously tender - eating some as roast (with mashed potatoes, gravy, and sauerkraut), rest made into BBQ (using Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce) to have with homemade Chick-fil-A Coleslaw. Had the latter for lunch today, and it was delicious!

(2) I wasn't able to take our car to my grandson's birthday party - it broke down on the interstate on Friday! Called a tow truck, but had to have my husband come to pick me up (since you can't ride with the tow driver anymore) and he was able to top off the anti-freeze (again) and it cooled down after about 25 minutes, so we cancelled the tow. Broke down AGAIN on the rest of the way home! Finally, we were able to get it to our driveway. UGH! Thankfully, my twin friends let us borrow their car for the party, so we could take my mother-in-law. My husband is going to attempt to flush the radiator several times on Wednesday (when it's not supposed to be bitterly cold). When we had it repaired a couple of months ago, they flushed it a couple of times, and got a bunch of gunk out of it. Same when we had it repaired last week - more gunk.

(3) Birthday party for my grandson at Chuck E. Cheese was almost a disaster! It was supposed to start at 12:30. By 1:15, only relatives had arrived - NO children! My daughter paid $26/child for NINE kids. I was praying SO hard from 12:30 that the kids would arrive. Finally, between 1:30 and 2:00, all but two of the invited kids had shown up. WHEW! I thought my daughter was going to cry when it looked like nobody was coming. My grandson had a GREAT time, PTL!

Weight has been holding steady this week. If I can only remain the same tomorrow morning, I will not have GAINED anything for a whole week! Usually (lately), I gain every week. If I keep doing what I've always done, I'll keep getting what I always get.

Someone posted a thing on Facebook that said, "You can only choose two pills," and they had ones for Happiness, Peace, Wealth, Millions of Followers, (several I can't remember) and one for "Never Gain Weight." What a game-changer it would be if I could lose weight and KEEP IT OFF! I've been on a diet for FORTY-ONE years! I know how to lose the weight - several different ways that work, actually. Losing is no problem; but, what's the use when I just put it back on?

I think the key to maintaining is partly about developing better eating habits as you are losing weight. Good luck! Sorry about the car troubles.
