Two long weekends got the better of me. Still haven't committed to eating the same each weekend as I do during the week because honestly, that sounds miserable. I know I can keep going towards my goal and don't feel too bummed, but dang it it's still frustrating. 🙈

I feel you! Extra workouts and increasing overall NEAT on weekends will definitely help. You mentioned something that made me curious - that eating at your weekday levels on weekends would make you miserable. What are you eating during the week? Would you consider a minor bump in calories, if it helped you keep your weekends under control?

One weekend splurge for me is heavy whipping cream whipped up w vanilla extract in my coffee!! It’s luxurious tasting to me that way. Since it’s 50 calories per tbs, it’s definitely a splurge since I’m trying still lose weight! Lol During the week, it’s Torani’s S’mores flavored sugar free syrup and 1/4 tbs coconut oil. Still good but not as rich and decadent!

Personally, I'm in awe of someone who has lost 137 pounds. You obviously know what you are doing.

I agree, weekends are for some fun. Looks like a tiny gain compared to mine hehe

My weekends are my super-heavy workout days.... it's almost like I save up all my stomach real estate for those 2 days! Like cheat days, but with a ton of extra exercise, so not really cheating lol. Like the Merminator said, try to squeeze in a couple more minutes of working out to mitigate any caloric damage if possible.

It seems you have an effective way of eating or have made a well thought out life style Chang. This is not about depriving yourself of the fun foods served at weekend events, but rather eating mindfully, no “pigging out” , or going off the rails eating everything in site. Then next day just returning to your normal way of eating. No regrets, no self recriminations, no quilt required.

Out of curiosity, what makes it sound miserable? Is there some way to tweak your WOE so that it's enjoyable and not something to be endured?

I get it, somewhat. I sometimes let weekends become an excuse even though I'm not even restrictive during the week. Not sure what the solution is.

But...they don't seem to do a lot of damage because they're not really that crazy - maybe 500-1000 cals above maintenance, but not twice my maintenance cals - and I also tend to walk all day. I agree with those who suggested having fun and being more active than usual.

Totally understand!

Hey Mermee, it's been so cold here I haven't been as active as I usually would be in the spring. Camping season is coming! I definitely need to be active on the weekends it would sure help. Thanks for the support Warrior Princess 👸 ❤️

Allegra and Kenna what makes my weekdays seem miserable compared to my weekends is keeping to under 1500 calories, I only see results if I keep under 1350 or so even with 1 hour workouts 4 days a week. I eat great food but it's really healthy. My weekends I get pizza fridays, burger king before the grocery rub, then one day is takeout and another is some other kind of full dinner. I also drink on the weekend so toss in another 1k each weekend for that. Basically it's that thing that humans do sometimes where you know what to but it's NO FUN and I stomp my feet 😂😂😂

Thanks Diablo, I'll bounce back! 🤘🙈

Chris I never thought of that before. I have the work hard play hard mentality so maybe the beast workouts on the weekends are the answer! I'm gonna have to try that. Thanks for the advice 🤘😎
