Debbie Cousins's Journal, 17 May 22

Yesterday was a pretty good day, even though it didn't start out like it was supposed to have. I was supposed to go over and help my daughter clean her house for a couple of hours, but she woke up feeling terrible, and didn't have the energy to do anything. At first, I was kinda lost, because I had a plan and it was changed. Then, I decided to just pretend MY house was her house, and I started in getting busy around here. Now every piece of laundry in the house is washed, dried, folded and put away, dishes are done, most everything is vacuumed.

Didn't get in all my water - only five 8-oz bottles (40 oz). I'll work on that today. We were SUPPOSED to go to the Berry Farm today to pick strawberries, but my car is still in the shop, and it is the only air conditioned vehicle. Please join me in praying that it will be done by tomorrow (Wednesday) at noon so we can go then. If it isn't done, we will have to go in the hot car, and that will make things really miserable. (I'm pretty heat-sensitive)

My bruise (from the attempted plasma draw) is still pretty dark, but I think it is lighter than it WOULD have been if I hadn't been putting on this Arnica Bruise Cream every half hour or so. I bruise pretty easily, and I usually KEEP a bruise for three weeks. UGH. I want to get back and donate, because we can really use those $150 payments toward our estimated taxes that are due on June 15th. God will provide!

Spent $50 at the grocery store on the ingredients to make the requested Fruit Pizza and Strawberry & Shortcake my granddaughter requested we do after berry picking. This is only a once-a-year endeavor, and it brings the grandkids a lot of joy to "decorate" the "pizza" with fruit. Maybe I'll post a picture after we make it tomorrow night.

Going into the pool today for the first time, to vacuum the bottom so it will be pristine for Friday when the kids come over to go in.

Lots going on, and I thank the Lord for the increased motivation and energy!

Thank the Lord, but also thank the water and thank the healthier choices. 👍 I find the better I do with diet and exercise, the more energy I have

Good on you for cleaning your house. Now if you ever find yourself at a loss of what to do in the future, please consider hopping on a plane and coming out to help me with mine (lol). Hope you have fun with the grandkids.
