It's hard enough to give up the garage regrigerator in the hot summer months to save on my electric bill. Could not live with just an ice chest.

I've been without a fridge for two weeks now. it's been hard not being able to keep the things I'm used to having that help me stay on track. thankfully Wed the new one comes.

Mermee, I had an awful day! Argued, which is so rare, with not only my son, but my hubby too. So tired! Read your comment and read it how you intended it.

Shirfleur,💕you are so so right!! Milk is my main sacrifice, cheese and salads. Plus, I bring my lunch to work with an ice pack, and that’s not working out. 😆

An ice chest absolutely doesn’t really work. Does a refrigerator use that much electricity? I have never calculated it. I guess I will now. 🙃

Andrew, but really, how about if it was just a waste of time?
My girlfriend played a slot machine at Laughlin for a long long time and just gave up. Moved to a seat by me and the gal that sat in her seat pulled the handle once and got a Royal Flush and won a huge jackpot. Yikes, my friend wasn’t too happy. I don’t know though, I am confused - it also could be foolish to keep going. It’s just baffling unless you know the goal is obtainable. 🙃

Last year when my electric bills reached $500 during long hot spells I unplugged the garage refrigerator. The garage is really hot, the refrigerator was new in 1998. I estimated I saved about $30-$40 a month but it's hard to tell when the electric bill gets higher each month.

Fritzy, The garage does get totally so so hot. We even had our drinks that we stored in there go bad. Can’t store any type of food item or even drinks in the garage unless it’s insulated🙃👍 that is a big electric bill! Do you have air conditioning? We do not - it saves us ,but it doesn’t get really really hot in our house. Yahoo! Fans rule for us.
