Debbie Cousins's Journal, 17 Jul 22

Finished out yesterday with 1,808 calories. Shooting to stay as close to 1,800 as possible - even less when I can. Omitted the bacon and cheese from my baked potato and decreased my butter beans from 250g to 200 to stay on target. Got in fruits and veggies - butter beans, 3 mini cucumbers, glazed carrots, 1/2 baked potato, watermelon, cherries and a peach.

Thankful for weight loss to 250.4 this morning! Maybe tomorrow I'll get OUT of the 250's! That would be a blessing!

Having steak and baked potatoes again today (because I only had half of each yesterday), so I've already planned out the whole day to accommodate it. Planning ahead really helps!

I had a brief moment of insanity yesterday, when I texted my dayghter to see if she had any more creme brulee! Thankfully, she did not! If she had, I would have asked her to bring me one and I would have fit it into my menu plan somehow. I had never had creme brulee until last year when she made it for the first time. Remember when I was on my tapioca pudding jag? I would eat FOUR servings of it in a day!

Hope everyone has a blessed Lord's Day! My daughter is coming to sing for my mother-in-law's birthday, and bringing my grand daughter and grandson. It will be a wonderful surprise and will MAKE her birthday!

Debbie, planning ahead makes all the difference for me. And I can see where things didn't go the way I wanted and for how long. Definitely makes all the difference. Hope this helps :-) Had Creme Brulee on Mother's Day, I get it. Another 20lbs and it's back on my menu, yum :-)

Happy Birthday to your MIL. Planning ahead is key. Keep on keeping on and you will be in the 240’s, then 230’s and so on. One weight bracket goal at a time. Have a blessed Sunday!:)

Your daughter now knows you want more Creme Brulee since you asked her if she had any more. That is a signal to her so eventually, she will probably bring more. Actually, it also says that you liked eating it (which you did) and want to eat more, and maybe even similar things. She may bring candy, cake, etc. next. Never again can she be considered insensitive to your dieting unless you tell her straight away that you were, as you put it having a brief moment of insanity, and that you do NOT want any more. We who have this sugar addiction give others signals as to what would REALLY please us. I want to please you, should I send you a box of chocolates, Creme Brulee, tapioca pudding, or just glaze for your vegetables. Sugary things are really, really bad for your husband too. I love you and I really struggle with this too, so I am absolutely NOT a paragon of virtue. I want to give up high carbs which turn into sugar in our bodies, and I have not been able to for a very long time. Your loving Dutch Uncle, blinded by snow.
