Looks like I'm going to have to make another batch of butter beans to get in my daily fiber - been just missing the mark for the past week. Weight up a tad again this morning. Phooey! I did notice that for the first time in a month, that my fingers were a little puffy this morning. Must be from the two country ham rolls I had yesterday. No other reason I can think of, since bowel habits were regular yesterday and I got in my water.

Corners of mouth are STILL cracked. Yesterday, I put fresh aloe leaf goo on them about six times. No improvement. I would have been able to get it checked out on Thursday because I have had a dermatologist appointment (full body screening) scheduled for a YEAR. I "just happened" to think maybe I should call and make sure it is covered by my insurance. NOT by Medicare OR my supplemental insurance. Online search says the cost begins at $204, so I cancelled the appointment.

Pool day today. Will eat ham rolls (only 125 calories each) for lunch, and watermelon for snacking, with lots of water to drink. I bought a nice Hanover (local) tomato, and I've ordered some fully-cooked bacon from Amazon (because BJ's hasn't had the kind I get for the last three visits), and it is supposed to be delivered today. If it comes in time, dinner will be a nice, juicy Bacon & Tomato sandwich! The tomato acid will burn my mouth, and it will probably crack opening wide enough to insert a sandwich, but sometimes ya just gotta suffer to have what you really want.

Fruits/veggies yesterday: cantaloupe, watermelon, cherries, cooked carrots and 1/3 cup Bob Evans mashed potatoes and 1/3 cup cooked mushrooms (on top of roast beef with gravy, yum)

Have a good day, y'all, and don't get overheated! Only going to be 84 degrees here today (the coolest day in the 10-day forecast).
