Debbie Cousins's Journal, 01 Aug 22

Well, ZERO-point-TWO pounds it is for the week. While disappointed, I am not defeated. I know I can lose weight, and I know that it will fluctuate as to how MUCH weight I lose each week. It's the end of Week #5, and I've lost 9.8 pounds - almost two pounds average per week. I figured I can't be greedy - had to leave some pounds out there for you other people to lose! You're welcome.

My plan is to cut my daily calorie intake from just under the 1,800's to the 1,500's and 1,600's each day this week. It will be a challenge for me, but it can be done.

So far, I have some victories over the past five weeks: I've drunk at least 8 cups of water each day; I have not had more than three 12-oz Diet Cokes in a day (down from over 2-liters daily); I have not baked any super-tempting desserts to have to try to "fit in;" I've recorded every bite of everything I've eaten; I've stayed under 1,800 calories every day but about three (my "normal" eating over the past year had been 2,500-3,500 calories a day!); and I've gotten in 3-5 (or more) fruits and vegetables every day! Those are big accomplishments for me!

So, onward I press. My "diet plan" probably wouldn't work for anyone else, but it seems to be working for me. I'm not depriving myself totally of my Diet Coke, and I'm allowing myself to have my Dave's Killer Good Seed toast with Butter twice a day. Life is good.
112.9 kg Lost so far: 4.6 kg.    Still to go: 44.8 kg.    Diet followed: 100%.

This is great progress. It's also great that you are willing/able to re-evaluate and re-group, and not feel defeated. You are doing great.

10 lbs over 5 weeks is fantastic, Debbie! great job! I find myself way over calories for the past 2 weeks, and I'll be trying to stay around the 1500/1600 mark as well. We can do it!

Dear Debbie , it sounds like your doing a great job. We seem to have the same problems. I try to only have 2 diet cokes a day. They say it is not good for our bones. I have just started this program. It seems to help me be aware of everything I'm eating. I'm not a good exerciser anymore. But please keep posting and we will encourage One another. I will keep you posted.

Two pounds a week loss is fantastic. Congratulations. As you shrink 1 pound a week will be a very worthy goal. Glad for you that your diet coke is down. Maybe the beans kept your weight up. Any high carb does that to me. I'm up a pound today too.

I’m starting the journey today. I’ve been a WW member for years but never got to goal. The money I’ve spent could’ve been a trip to Hawaii for me and my husband. I was bored with it. Thought I’d try this! For some reason - this group and the transparencies I’ve seen disclosed make me feel at home here !!

@APMY, welcome! Hope you'll find encouragement and motivation here to finally reach the goal that has eluded you in Weight Watchers. The good thing about FatSecret is that you can do any WOE (way of eating) or "diet" you choose to go on!
