Debbie Cousins's Journal, 14 Aug 22

Yesterday's calories 1,282 (my lowest yet), Fiber 20.9 (thank God for butter beans), weight loss this morning 0.6 pounds (from 245.6 to 245.0). Total loss for this week (if today's weight holds until tomorrow morning) is two pounds.

My husband wants pizza today after all. Good thing I have had ultra low calories for the past two days. Even with planning to eat FOUR medium slices of thin crust pizza today, my daily average will still work out in the low 1,500's (less than last week, PTL). It was REALLY painful to order just ONE medium pizza for $14.99 when I could have gotten TWO one-toppings for only $6.99 each (a dollar LESS!) I'm all about a bargain. But, I just don't want to "spend" the calories on pizza for a couple days in a row! Today, I'm figuring my calories will be 1,940 (still under my 2,000 RDI, but the highest day I've had in seven weeks).

No drama yesterday! Hooray!

SO, I am leaning I can stay within my lower calories and still eat what I like if I decrease my portions. Why not plan for three pieces of pizza and add a salad or veggie?

Thanks @ginome and @CrystalJo74. @HCB, thanks for the suggestion. Sometimes I can do that. In this case, I did forego the breadsticks, and ate the Thin N Crispy pizza instead of a pan pizza, which is a LOT more calories. I entertained the thought of eating only three pieces of pizza, but to eat less would have meant either that there would be leftovers calling my name, or I would have to throw away the excess. I wanted to keep all of the indulgence in one day, and I hate to waste food, so I think I made good choices overall.
