Txcrazymom- I was gone for the past few weeks and am only now looking at Fat Secret. You made comments about not prioritizing your self care. This is key because it is a mindset that is devastating to weight loss. All the things you need in place to support your journey get thrown out the window to accomodate someone else. If this is happening on a regular basis you will not make progress. I have a suggestion for you. Take my suggestion if it makes sense or change it to suit you or throw it out the door! What I find has helped me is that I have a short checklist that I look at and assess each morning. The trick is to make the check list a yes or no answer. Then put together a list of no more than 5 or no less than 1 thing you see as important to your success. I do mine on the computer on Xcel. I have things like - did I eat after supper(this one is a scale of 1 to 3 to indicate if it was a little or a lot), did I exercise, did I track my food, did I meditate, etc. Whatever is your version of things you want to do that will lead to your success. Then each morning (and don't skip this step!!) assess yes or no to each item. Just knowing you are going to answer this can help in making sure you do it! Also you start to see patterns of behaviour which gives you the opporunity to make small changes. Keep this list reasonable and very possible don't do 'pie in the sky' stuff like exercise 4 hours each day or you will feel like a failure and that doesn't help.

Are you logging all your food? This process made a huge difference for me. It was also a real eye opener. You can do it. There is so much support on here.

59Carol that’s a good idea and one I think I can actually do! I’m struggling to put myself first even in what I eat.

ImalittleLESSfluffyNOW, I’ve been trying to log my food and the times that I’m eating. I’m not very consistent yet which is a problem for me in many areas tbh! It’s nice to get encouragement here even when I’m going back up!
