Debbie Cousins's Journal, 22 Aug 22

Today's weight 143.6, down 1.8 for the week, and total eight-week loss 15 pounds. I'm happy about that. I'd still like go get the average up to 2# a week, and I'm working on it. Average daily calories were 1,681 - lower than three of the 8 weeks, but higher than the rest. Goal for this week is to keep daily calories between 1,400's and 1,500's. I'd LOVE for the average to end up being in the 1,400's - that will be the lowest I've done so far!

I eat the same thing for breakfast every morning - a slice of Dave's Killer Good Seed bread with 23g cold sliced butter on it (I LOVE it!). I eat the same thing every night for dinner - another slice of DKB w/butter and a bowl of Butter Beans (to get in my Fiber). I have lunches as the big meal of the day, with my husband.

This week's menu: Today, finish up the Taco Casserole (with chopped tomato and shredded lettuce to make taco salads). Tuesday, Chicken Marsala (5 oz.) with cooked carrots, 1/2 cup sauteed mushrooms & onions, and 1/3 cup mashed potatoes. Wednesday, country ham biscuits (easy lunch at pool). Thursday, repeat Chicken Marsala meal. Friday country ham biscuits (at pool). Saturday, homemade Mushroom Swiss Burgers (and fries for my husband). Sunday, Bacon & Tomato sandwiches, maybe with a few potato chips. Fruits for the week are watermelon, honeydew and fresh peaches.

That's my plan. Sometimes, life gets in the way, but I'll really try to stick to it. I've allowed for the creme brulee that my daughter is making. I'm really looking forward to that! The key to fitting it in will be to JUST eat a half of a ramekin each day and not to eat both full ramekins at one sitting. (That's where I'll need an extra helping of self-control, Lord!)
