Debbie Cousins's Journal, 14 Sep 22

Hooray! I'm a little bit below my lowest for last week. Making progress again. It LOOKS like I lost 0.8 pounds today, but it is really only 0.2 lower than what I was on September 10th Still, I'll take it!

Managed to get through yesterday without blowing my diet plan, PTL. Thanks for letting me talk myself through it on here. It really helped me to get my head in the right place for dealing with the temptation.

Daughter is very sick, but tested negative for covid. Both the kids were able to go back to school today, praise the Lord, after missing only two days of school. Since my daughter feels so bad (and since her "husband" still expects her to cook and clean no matter how she feels), I'm going to make a Taco Casserole and take it over there for their dinner when I take my granddaughter home from school. I'll bake it here (because her oven has been broken for several months) and transfer it to a container than can just be heated in the microwave when they're ready to eat.

Hey, I used all three homophones for there/their/they're in the last two sentences. Little things like that make me happy. I'm weird, I know!

I had 1-1/2 chicken breasts left over from making the TGI Friday's chicken the other day, so I cooked them in the IP and made chicken salad. I only had two small bites yesterday, but today I'm going to have a sandwich WITH a tiny bag of Cheetos (160 extra calories) for my lunch. I'm really looking forward to it, since my husband gobbled up the chicken salad which my daughter made and I was "supposed" to get to have last week, lol.

May you all have a successful day in following your WOE (Way of Eating, for you newbies). Even if you stumble, it's what you do MOST of the time that determines the results you'll get.

Good job Debbie. Learning not to self-sabotage is real progress. I'm getting better at it, but it takes real will-power.

Glad for you that your weight is down, mine is too. Thank you for teaching about homophones, I wasn't aware of that word. But it is very jarring when people write using "there/their/they're" incorrectly. Thanks for your continued prayers. My husband has been especially demanding for the last week and a half and did manhandle me by restraining me when I tried to walk away. I'm still hanging in there, and I'm praising the Lord for sustaining me. I also thank Him every day for having a roof over my head, a couch to sleep on, and plenty of food. I believe things in this world are better right now than they will be in a year or two from now. I'm glad to be mostly taking pants in instead of letting them out. Sorry, you have the added burden of cooking for your daughter.

@Snowwhite100, glad you're losing weight again as well! Sorry it's been a rough couple of weeks. So happy things didn't come to the point where you had to sleep in your car or move in with your neighbor temporarily.
