Debbie Cousins's Journal, 02 Oct 22

Weight up this morning but, as I have learned, it's a normal part of my downward trend. Hoping I'll be back down to 25 pounds lost tomorrow morning for weigh-in. If so, it'll be a 2.2-pound loss for the week. I'll take that ANY week! My average for the past 13 weeks has been 1.75 pounds a week - better than I thought it was. Doctors say 1-2 pounds a week is optimal weight loss. Just call me "Optimal Debbie!"

Hope you have a blessed Sunday! Today, we're learning about the Israelites finally being released from Egypt and crossing the Red Sea. My husband has been working very hard in preparing his message to translate meters and kilometers into feet and miles for us to get a good idea of how far they traveled and how deep the sea they crossed was (thus, how high the walls of water were!) Very interesting!

See you tomorrow morning for weekly weigh-in. Still time to join Daily Accountability 2022-#40 challenge if you're interested! It starts on Mondays, but you have until midnight Monday night to sign up, and you don't record your Monday results until Tuesday morning. I don't really like the way it is set up, but after three years of doing these challenges, I'm used to it!

I had no idea the Bible mentioned how high the wall of water was. Some people tried to say it was the "Reed" sea and was very shallow. Kind of silly thinking it was shallow and still drowned the entire Egyptian army with their chariots. It was wonderful that the Israelites crossed on "dry" land. That was a true miracle also. What a great God we have!
