Weight the same this morning. Skipped evening toast last night - makes two nights in a row; I'm shooting for 7. Things are going pretty well. Crème Brulee all gone, so calories should be down for the rest of the week.

Made that Franklin Nut Cake to send on vacation with my mother-in-law and her sister. Looks and smells great. SURE wish I could cut out a piece to have before I send it! Actually, I COULD have one if I really wanted to, but I think it would be better to send the whole cake than a cake with one slice cut out of it. I could say that I wanted to test it to make sure it was good enough to send. Probably nobody would care. Hmmm. My husband is supposed to take it to his mother tomorrow. Maybe I can hold out until then!

I'm thankful that (other than the cake), I haven't been wanting to eat as much as I have for the past couple of weeks. Made it through the morning, which is my hardest time. The afternoons usually don't hold too much temptation because I know I get to have my dinner at 4pm.

Is anybody doing anything fun for Halloween? It's not my favorite holiday, but I'm going to take my grandson (6) to a hayride and hay maze this Saturday, and there are other better events the two Saturdays after that. There are a couple of Trunk or Treats on the Sundays, but two of them are from 4-7 (too late for me). Maybe I'll take him to the one that is 2-5 - it's at a church.

OK, lots of cake-baking dishes to do! And I still need to get in my Bible reading before I have to leave to take my grand daughter home from school in an hour.
