Really disappointed that a couple of small blow outs can have such an impact. My worst day was 1900 calls with 94 carbs. Hardly gorging.! But that’s why I was putting on weight I guess. More determined than ever to stick with it this week. We are moving into silly season, visiting friends and family, so I need to make sure I do the best I can during those times and be really extra strict the others. Will try for a couple of 500 days this week.

I know this sounds weird but it is harder in the beginning for your body to accommodate days of overeating. The longer you keep at it, the better your body copes and building muscle is a huge help. I did 1200 calorie days which were awful and I was so hungry at the beginning but can eat 1700 and stay stable now because I have built up more muscle mass. I am also quite short. It has taken me almost a year to reach my goals. You will always have ups and downs - the thing that counts is to start every day fresh. Always aim for a good eating day and if it doesn’t happen, you can always start again tomorrow.

Thanks Kenji. I will try and start incorporating some walking in my day and not worry too much on the ups amidst the downs. I don’t normally weigh on a Monday, so should have stuck to the plan and waited till Friday. This app says I can eat 1700 cal a day, but I used the CSIRO calculations yesterday and it’s only 1200 to lose half a kilo a week. I’ll use the 1200 as a guide and accept it’s an individual long term lifestyle .
