Question for the day- seeking many viewpoints!
Does weighing in more frequently (daily, many times a week) keep you motivated within your weight loss journey?
or are you one to prefer weighing in less frequently (every other week, monthly)to help with acheiving your goals?

Lets hear it!

I weigh every day because it helps me stay on track. I can easily gain 3 or 4 pounds in a week by being in denial.

I weigh myself daily to stay motivated and informed however I only log my weight weekly.

I weigh every day. I need to stay honest! My scale will vary every day by 2-4 pounds! If I'm not careful about weighing, I would gain 10 pounds without even knowing it. I have recently decided to only post when I am down again. It leads to some long gaps in weigh-ins. (also, I only record on Saturday) so, there have been several gaps in weight records because if I'm up on a Saturday morning - whelp, I guess I'll try again next Saturday!!

I weigh when I shower but I don’t always log. I like to see where I’m at and if things are headed in the right direction. The small fluctuations don’t bother me like they used to lol

Personally, i get on the scale every day or every other day. I do it because it help me to keep my self accountable. I keep track of my progress, each time. Using little emojis to keep me motivated.

Yup, same here. Weigh everyday makes me mindful of what action I should take but only log in once a week.

Daily weigher here. It’s just an easy habit to do before I shower. Sometimes I wonder if it’s too much info and data but would rather know than not know. 🙂

I usually weigh every day but I know that the weekly weigh in is the key motivation for me. The scale goes up and down all week and that motivates me to stick to a plan to get lower numbers consistently.

I weigh in everyday, but as stated by other, it's my Monday weight that matters the most. My weight loss buddy (1000 miles away) and I check in every Monday and post to each other. We check in during the week too, how we are doing with our eating, exercise. etc

I weigh daily to keep myself informed of how I'm doing.

I weigh every day, right when I wake up, but keep a spreadsheet with a 7-day rolling average that I consider my true weight. Since my weight can pop up and down a pound or two from day to day, this helps me see the trends better and keeps any single day's reading in perspective. If I do, however, get a weight (like this morning) that's above my typical range, I will make adjustments. The trick, in my mind, is to view it as data needed to make food decisions and not get emotionally wrapped up as if it's an indication of self worth

Wow I’m shocked that almost everyone is a daily weigher. I think it depends on the person. Sometimes you can be following a wonderful plan and it’s discouraging to see the weight go up on a day. This can cause people to change their plan and not get long term results. You’ve got to stick with the plan no matter what the scale is doing daily to see true results. If you can weigh daily and not be emotional about the number that works great. Otherwise I think weekly.

I weigh in every morning. Helps keep me focused. But just like last night, I ate spaghetti and I “weighed more” this morning. When weighing yourself, stay conscious of when you eat and what it was

I weigh in daily. It holds me accountable if my weight goes up or stays the same. I use to do noom but the cost wasn't worth it. They break it down on why it's important to weigh in everyday. Sometimes we think a cheat here or there is ok, but the scale will tell us no its not

A full month is too long to catch accumulating excess calories. Daily can be anxiety inducing from normal fluctuations. I have a year-end goal I’m working towards, so I’m weighing a few times a week to monitor food and exercise more attentively.

Daily Actually morning and night Which is ok if you can accept the scale is going to fluctuate and it may be due to other reasons And not say F-it with a gain and go off course This week I had a one pound weight gain and knew it was from a bit of sodium I had in soup the night before If my weight is actually trending up and I know it is from wandering from healthy eating then I bring it in a bit and tidy up my eating I tried the not weighing daily years ago and gained 10 pounds in a month So it is really individualized I think
