Poo. I ate well this Christmas, I did try to eat less but a) I don't want my already thin 11yo daughter to worry about eating too much, and b) others were worried that I was not eating enough! Well I showed them 😂 Maintenance is a tricky game.

it must be hard trying to lose weight by eating healthy all the while having your daughter silently watching your journey and struggles and victories. Its not encouraging when family and friends are not supportive or helpful in your choice to care about your body and health. Stay strong, ignore their negativity (I wonder if your determination to be healthy is convicting them with their own ill-health 🤔) and focus on your goal, a much healthier and energetic you 🥰

That's spot-on Treeslaugh! So many people complain about their own ill-health, don't do anything about it, and then tell my my efforts are unhealthy. Well, I'm feeling better and better every week. Happy to indulge with them this week, but I tell ya, I can already feel my love handles returning! Not healthy at all! I do explain to my daughter why I eat the way I do, all the while making she she eats enough and well. It's so time-consuming, I hope it all becomes more ingrained and normal one day.

Soon eating healthy food and portions suited just for you will become the norm. Then that time will come when you will never ever hear yourself explain to others your choices of food or why & what your doing at every mealtime. 👏 Stay strong Spicehorn xxx

Could it just be from booze? Also, you're teaching your daughter great life skills in how to eat well, but that it's okay to let loose and enjoy on special occasions. Hopefully she will never be burdened by this modern nonsense, and not have to worry about dieting and body image. I try to do the same with my daughter, so she can just focus on the cool stuff she loves.

I've been pretty good with my drink, but then again, I do own very large champagne and gin glasses 😅
