Debbie Cousins's Journal, 31 Jan 23

Pleased with my loss this morning. I weighed having gone five days without a bowel movement. Finally used a Dulcolax Suppository. Lost some more after that, but that's for tomorrow's weigh-in.

Got up at 3:20 this morning to be able to get my 2.5 miles of walking in before having to get my grandson up, make him breakfast, get him dressed and leave to take him to school. If I didn't know better, I would think I'm disciplined!

Might try to see if I can set another personal low this week for Average Calories Per Day. That will involve eating less than 1,439 calories a day, in spite of the creme brulee which I will be getting tomorrow. My daughter usually gives me four little ramekins when she makes it. I put them in the freezer and eat one a day until they are gone. Thankfully, she only makes it every 2-3 weeks. One of those things I just can't say "NO" to.

The week is off to a good start for me - hope it is for all of you, as well. I pray for some of you by name. For the rest, I say an "all-encompassing" prayer, lol. Looking forward to seeing our results this week!

By the way, can your daughter make her creme brûlée with stevia instead of sugar and with low fat milk? Would it still turn out the same taste and consistency? I might experiment with that. I love creme brûlée!

@PattiOB, I don't think it would work because you wouldn't get the richness and texture. If you try it, let me know, though. I get by with eating it because she makes it in 5-oz ramekins and only fills them about half full. A serving is less than 200 calories.
