Wow this is exactly what I’ve been thinking lately. “creation vs destruction”. It’s like we all have a sliding scale within us, and we can chose which way we will go each day- the path of CREATION is Life, living, loving, trying to change or make a difference to ourselves and others, forgiveness, gratitude, being grateful for all the little things and big things we have. Creating LIFE Or do we go with DESTRUCTION -self pitty, victim mentality, being lazy or unmotivated to change or make a difference for ourselves or others, fear, resentment, self sabotage, being ungrateful for all that we have and obsessing about what we dont have…. These things are destructive to our life. Each decision, each action, and even our thoughts are weighed upon this sliding scale. I’ve been thinking about this a lot. My weight loss journey is rooted in my will to change and make a difference to myself and my family, to take care of my body instead of neglect my body, treat myself with kindness and compassion and stay healthy so i can stick around longer for my kids and grandkids. This is what has been motivating me to lose weight. I don’t want to be self destructive or self sabotage anymore, not in any way. As much as I enjoy the midnight munchies, the beers, the cocktails, the tirimassu, chocolate buiscuts etc. Those are not acts of self love if they are sabotaging my health. The willingness to change, recognise my self destructive choices, this is the gift of self love, born of gratitude for my very life itself. We only get this life once and I would like to make the most of the time I’ve got left and be healthy for my family 💗🌸💗

Spot on! Although, sometimes the wine and tiramisu can be a constructive choice. There are times when, for the sake of our mental health, we just need to enjoy such yummy delights 😋 But, I have learnt it's best done with others, not when alone, and not everyday!
