I've plateaued! Today is a High Cal/High carb day; like clockwork, once every 7 days. Yesterday's boxing session left my scapulae sore today. I'm going to start prioritizing more push/pull, really work on my back. Need to be careful with my left knee within boxing, I really don't wanna reinjure it, probably need a sleeve for it to stabilize. Anyhooo, thoughts while watching my coffee steep in French press. ⭐ NSV: My size 10 jeans are fitting so much looser I might grab my 8s out of my "smaller clothes graveyard 🪦." Honestly, my cycle is supposed to begin soon but bloating and stuff has tremendously diminished. Weight spikes are much, much less now. Idk what it is that's helping: low fat? consistent exercise? WOE? Cal deficit? whatever it is: bye-bye!! Ciao! Αντίο!!! ha det!!
85.5 kg Lost so far: 12.9 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Does the high carb/calorie for 1 day break the plateau for you?

Diana thank you! Bleu206: Yes. My BMI is still high so it is enough. The other 6 days I spend in deficit of 300cal or more. I didn't always have what works figured out but once I did, it became easier. I noticed once my weight loss stabilized for 2 to 3 days, a high cal/high carb day is needed, and even that is structured based on current weight and maintaince calories based off the website fitwizard.com BMR/maintenance calories so, I'm not recklessly eating either.

Awesome Dazey, just be careful that the high cal day/ high carb day is not a high junk day. If you are eating at a 300 calories deficit, then that is only 1800 calories deficit at the end of the week and a very high calorie day can easily erase that. Also try if possible on the high carb day to still try and get healthy good nutrients. In the early stages of your fat loss journey I used to have " cheat days" but the longer I do this the more I realize that when I eat higher calories it should still be good clean food mostly as that will cause the lease amount of inflamation. I am loving your progress.

Wayne, yes! Thanks! I support this fully! I used to do cheat days., Hell cheat weeks... My carbs will mostly come from oatmeal, rice, beans, Ezekiel bread, potatoes, tortillas, fruits...etc. Are there any other carbs i should look out for to add? i have 1 serving of a dessert like every other day; (if that..) which is a 360 from eating dessert, daily. At my worst, multiple times a day. I've come a long way with Binge Eating Disorder. Definitely not junk days anymore.

Hi Daizey sounds like you are doing so well, congrats. As far as other carbs to add at this stage not really. I eat Pumpkin and butternut squat as these two carbs are extremely low in calories but rich in nutrients. Regarding potatoes and tortillas just make sure they don't cause you any stomach discomfort or bloating as this can stretch the waistline as well, but if your gut can handle it, those are great bodybuilding food. Strange how our standards improve and we go from Cheat weeks, to cheat day, to cheat meal, to eating a higher calorie day. I love that progression.

I like the taste of blueberries, but I can only eat small amounts because I am sensitive to the fructans they contain.
