Yikes 189.2 this morning! Time to shape up! Thankfully, I got in the right “head space” yesterday, so I’m starting out on track this morning. Did wake up at 3am and had a King’s Hawaiian Roll with 1/2 Tbsp butter on it (140 calories). Usually, I have that before midnight so it counts on the previous day. Been up for 2-2/2 hours and haven’t had an Entenmann’s Rich Frosted Chocolate Mini Donut, or any Danish Butter Cookies, or Kit Kat pieces or Glazed Donut Holes. That’s a great accomplishment for me!!! Usually, I would have had some or all of them by now. The mornings and early afternoons are when I want to eat ALL the time. From 2pm until I go to bed at 5pm, I’m not very interested in food. Go figure! Wishing everyone a great start to your new week!

May it be so, MorticiaAddams! For me, it’s been a long time in coming. I got under 190 on 7/3, I think, and just been hanging out in the mid 180’s since then. Time to get my rear in gear and start LOSING again! So far, 1:31 pm, I’ve resisted all the temptations listed above. It ain’t over til it’s over, though, so I won’t know until midnight whether I make it through the whole day.

You're doing great, keep it up! I have found that a way to keep me accountable was to throw out ALL of my sugary foods and comfort snacks. when I'm out shopping, I have a list that Is strictly follow, that way I don't see something I want to try/eat and then end up ruining my cal intake 😂

A strategy not tried yet is to make a grocery list that doesn't include pastries and sugary desserts. Then go to the store and ask God to help you stick to your healthy list. Bringing junk home just makes you battle food daily.

Debbie, try swapping out your oldies for some new goodies. Go to a Grocery store that has a Great Fruit and Vegetable section or a Farmer’s Market and buy something fresh to snack on. Examples: Start with celery & peanut butter or did you know you could try a donut peach 🍑 it’s sooo delicious Those are some of the swaps that i make and i feel better about my food choices when i know that it’s a lifestyle change that i’m making bc “i don’t do diets!” They never worked for me You Can Do it!!!👌🏾 Just tweak your eating habits and make a plan to snack more healthier than you have been🍉🥣

A friend at church brought a couple small watermelons a neighbor grew and shared, and she gave them to whoever wanted them. I got one and will cut it up 2m0. That’ll give me ONE good choice. I know some of you think the protein products are crap because they just replace your cravings for sugary or salty foods. I think I’d rather have a snack with 20 g of protein and 13 g Fiber than something with no redeeming qualities. I skipped the protein shake that would have put me over my goal of 100g protein. Opted instead to save those 160 calories and use them toward a King’s Hawaiian Roll with butter when I wake up in the night (140 calories). Life is all about change offs that can WORK for you. I think this can, if I can avoid the donuts when I open the fridge door for the butter. Late for bed. Have PT at 7:30 in the morning. Gotta rest up for my hour of torture in the morning. Praying knee pain won’t prohibit me from being able to sleep as it did last night! Silicone scar sheets arrived just before bedtime, so I read the directions and got that applied. Interesting to see if it will work! Night, my friends. See ya tomorrow!

Good job! I found saving my sweets to the very end of the day helped me eat less of them.

I think buying all those sweets to keep in the house is a kind of "The Devil made me do it" thing.

Amen Shir! If the devil tempts me to bring his sugary gems into the house I Will Eat them ALL! Fruits are the only sweets I have, except for the ice cream hubby buys for himself. I don't like it enough to eat it.
