Debbie Cousins's Journal, 17 Sep 23

Knee pain better this morning - only about a 3, but I’ve been icing it between cooking spurts. Decided NOT to walk today (gasp!) 😱 The physical therapist is very adamant about not overdoing it. Cooking, sitting in church for an hour and a half, going up and down steps to take food to the car, actually being at the picnic - that will be my knee exertion for the day. Have surgeon follow-up tomorrow and I don’t want to be hurting for it. Yesterday was my 10th day back up to 4 miles a day, and I’m confident that skipping a day won’t sabotage me. Ok, gotta check on the baked beans. I cook them until they are very firm and you can eat them with a fork. Mmmm.

I have a feeling your surgeon is not going to be pleased with you my friend. Take care today. 💚💜💛

Does the surgeon think you should be having so much pain at this point?

Well, I journaled as you suggested (plus left a long comment) but I don't think it turned out very well. My bad.

Don’t mess up your knee! It’s OK to go slow.
