Debbie Cousins's Journal, 15 Oct 23

Ended the day yesterday at only 1,507 calories, 26.1g Fiber, 6 miles walked, all PT exercises done, but only three bottles of water and only 80.98g Protein. Still, a very good day considering the stress level (which is usually my downfall). This morning’s weight was only 182.0, which is the lowest I’ve been during this 67 weeks since I got back on track. Hope it will hold til tomorrow morning’s official weigh-in! Only 2.1 pounds away from the 170’s now. Still a chance I will make it before my 6-month doctor visit a week from Tuesday, though on his scale, with street clothes on instead of pj’s, it will probably register a bit higher. Thank you to everyone who has followed me and encouraged me and prayed for me along the way. I appreciate it, and it has helped!

Whoo-hoo!!!!!!!! Look at you go Debbie. 2.1 pounds to the 70’s. Im averaging around 1400 calories a day (or less) in maintenance and can only dream of having more. Are you finding that trying to keep the protein up over 100 grams makes you feel better? It’s the one thing i noticed in the pat 10 weeks that the higher protein has made me feel fuller longer, and stronger. Im still shooting for over 100 grams per day and 120 if i can fit it in. Listen, if you go down to 1200 for the next week you will be in the 70’s for sure for doc appt (500 less calories a day x 7 days alone is one pound😂). Super excited for you. Read about the granddaughter yesterday. She’s young enough that needs to get nipped in the bud immediately. Sexually active is no surprise at that age these days. Sounds like she needs some serious consequences and maybe some chores. Best wishes, luck and prayers with that situation. Hard enough when it is your own children putting themselves at risk. Im sorry thats happening. These are supposed to be the peaceful years. God bless you sis. Xoxo

Thank you, Morticia, sara, and YOH! I have not noticed feeling any better with the increased protein. Haven’t quite been hitting the 100 mark the past couple of days, but close. I don’t think I could go as low as 1,200! The lowest average daily calories I’ve had for a week, in the past 67 weeks, was 1,421 in week #34. I’ll have to look back and see when that was and see what I ate that week. BUT, I’m burning 700 calories a day with walking 6 miles, so even at 1,800/day, it would net at 1,100, right?
