Still under 180, praise the Lord. Finally found a solution for my frequent constipation: Smooth Move tea! It's in a purple box in the tea section. Pretty pricey ($5.69 for 20 bags, I think), but it works GREAT! I have a cup of hot tea in the morning, with a Tbsp. of Heavy Whipping Cream (45 calories), a tsp. of Granulated Sugar (15 calories) and a couple Truvia. My husband drinks it with just a Truvia in it. You have to let the tea bag seep for 10-15 minutes. I've been having a bowel movement every day for the entire week that I've been drinking it. They have an original flavor (which is what we've been getting) and a Peppermint flavor (which we haven't tried yet). Actually pretty tasty! My "usual" hot tea (which I only drink when I'm especially cold) is a bag of Earl Grey and a bag of Sleepytime, brewed together. I started by brewing those two WITH the Smooth Move, because I was afraid it wouldn't taste good by itself.

Made a delicious Lasagna today. Usually, I cut the 9" x 13" pan of it into 9 servings, which is over 600 calories per serving. Today, I cut it into 12 servings, which is "only" 466 calories each.

Knee pain has been ZERO three out of the past seven days! I admit, I haven't been doing my PT exercises at home for about a week, but my Physical Therapist said that maybe a break was just what I needed.

Calories for this week have averaged over 2,100 per day! Got to get that reigned in. My problem has been eating too much when I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I always "plan" into my menu a King's Hawaiian Roll with 1/2 Tbsp. of Butter on it to eat at that time. But, sometimes I will eat two. I've also had TWO breakfasts on a couple of occasions lately.

Water has been totally out of the picture for about a week (maybe more). Diet Coke consumption is ridiculously high. I sure am enjoying the 4-5 hours of sleep I'm getting between bathroom runs during the night, though! I don't know WHY, but when I drink water, I get up every 1-1/2 to 2 hours all night. That doesn't happen when I'm drinking Diet Coke all day.

I've only been walking about 3 miles a day for the past week. In the past 11 days, there have only been two days when I walked 6 miles.

The birthday dinner party went very well. My twin friends thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was good to have my son, his wife, and stepson here. Haven't seen them in several months. Now, on to Thanksgiving dinner planning.

OK, this has been WAY too long already. I rarely get on FatSecret on my laptop anymore. In the app, you can only see what you are writing for about two paragraphs, then you are typing blind - forces me to keep my posts short and sweet.

Gotta get in that third mile now.

I heading out to find the Smooth Move tea for my husband. Last night he decided he is allergic to Miralax and after speaking to the pharmacist he purchased Dulcalax, which is probably strong enough to be bad for his kidney disease. He has been taking the Miralax plus 2 Magnesium Citrate and a couple of swallows of Aloe Vera and it often isn't enough. I am so glad for you that you are still under 180, but you know you will have to make some changes if you want to stay there. Real sugar, artificial sugar and high carbs contribute to depression among other things. Love ya, sis.

Cutting the lasagna into 12 instead of 9 might not seem like much, but those portion adjustments make a big difference. I know for me, even cutting my morning oatmeal portion by 1/3 makes a difference and helps me stay within budget

I suffer from chronic constipation as well and used to drink smooth move tea which worked and also this Chinese dieters tea in the green box which tastes awful but was cheap and worked. Now I take these natural type pills called PruneLax which work like a charm. I feel so much more normal and better when I GO!

Do you make your lasagna with noodles? The last two times I made lasagna I used zero net carb tortillas and layered them Instead of noodles. Worked great and I did not even miss the noodles!

Sternfan, I’ll have to look into PruneLax. Cknchick, yes, I use noodles in my lasagna. I did make some tacos last week using the 4 net carb Mission Tortillas. Each of them had like 19 grams of fiber, I think. They tasted even better than regular tortillas!

That tea sounds interesting. I take magnesium twice a day. cheap and works great. Now, why are you eating in the middle of the night!? You are dosing yourself with insulin. the fat storage hormones when your body needs a break. cut that out and cut the heavy cream and see how you feel for a few weeks. i bet the weight melts off. keep up the good work!
