What a journey I’ve had achieving my weight decline. Yes, it lovely to see the weight decline however I’m concentrating on my health.

I’m grateful after a tumults 2023 with having COVID for the first time time, even though I was eligible for the anti viral medication due to having asthma however the COVID it still affects my lungs. Long story short, one of my lungs the lower part collapsed, I couldn’t walk 50 meters.

A couple of months later I was still waking up every morning with what felt like a hangover, I couldn’t get out of bed till 9am which was unheard of. ( no alcohol consumption)

I then had an anaphylactic reaction to lemon, chilli in a meal the following day. I saw an immunologist who was a God send, he diagnosed me with‘histamine’ intolerance. Changed my nasal medication from a spray to drops & told me to have high histamine foods in moderation. The highest histamine food is chilli, alcohol, lemon, yogurt, milk, kimchi etc.

The good news is I generally stuck to low histamine foods, switching to coconut milk, black coffee, coconut yogurt. Chia pudding with coconut milk for breakfast with 1/2 cup of blueberries, psyllium, flaxseed, crushed hemp seeds. My weight has literally & slowly dropped off me in the last 6 months.

If it’s one thing I’ve learnt that is to eat what is good for me but low histamine, it’s my health that I’m aiming at not my weight. Yes my weight loss will help my lungs etc but I don’t discuss my weight with anyone except my doctor.

So we all have a different journey with what we want to achieve, i would like to thank everyone for your motivation since I’ve joined this app.
