Diana 1234's Journal, 21 May 24

Had pizza and garlic knots on Saturday…( stress got the best of me that day) I’m guessing I’m hanging onto the weight from that plus I noticed on Sunday that my wedding band which is usually loose did not want to come off my finger. That may be from the increase in salt I’ve been having per cardiologist. Trying to balance everything is hard…life is a series of ups and downs lately…💜

That's the thing about life. After we focus on losing the weight initially, it's a balancing act from there, unless you want to deprive yourself of being in the moment forever. Plus, if you're dealing with other issues besides maintaining a weight loss, there's that. You do great, Diana! Hopefully, your son gets past his setbacks soon & you're not worried about him ❤️

That's not bad at all! I'm often up a pound for no apparent reason. The tight ring would mean retaining water. It is tough to balance it all. I bought some Propel and have it in the garage refrigerator for the young yard worker. I had one yesterday, much easier drink than water. I may buy more for me! Are you on the road now?

Fritzy, Ive been drinking Propel everyday plus bottled water as well. My husband bought Propel packets to mix with water in various flavors. They are a lot cheaper and some are better than others. I did not like the grape

MOUNTAIN MAN, thanks. I know what you say to be true. Life is just that way ..🩷

Grape is my favorite but they didn't have it at the grocery store! I've never seen packets so I buy bottles, I think I have fruit punch.

Sherrye, thanks. It's definitely a balance! Thanks about asking about my son. He's so vulnerable right now. I'm in the phone with him every day but I think he is beginning to move forward. He still isn't working but did help his friend who owns a tree cutting service yesterday. That helped him stay busy and earn a little cash.💜

Ive been bouncing between 133 and 138 for a few months now. Im still weighing everyday but haven’t been updating weight much. Probably because it’s mostly between 137 and 138 and my monster wants to see 135. Young people are resilient. This too shall pass for your boy but it sure is painful to know they are hurting

YOH, Just got back from a 2 mile walk. Was gonna go further but heat was beginning to get to me. It's in the high 80s today.. I feel frustrated that I haven't gone back down but I shall see again in a few days 🩷

Funny how a couple of pounds can keep bouncing around in your head isn’t it. So ridiculous and yet

So true. Life here is chaotic and we are having pizza tonight. I will feel no guilt about it nor the cookie I had today. I mean this cookie was huge and chocolate chunky. 140 calories. I could have had 2 rice cakes for that, but then I don't eat rice cakes ever. They're gross. Like eating Styrofoam packing material. Milkbone dog biscuits are probably better tasting. My aunt was a horrible cook so my cousins grew up stealing and eating the dog's biscuits. My husband has eaten them too. (My world is creepy. We don't have the gourmet gene.) You would think something that tastes as bad as rice cakes would have something important in it, like fiber but, no. But then they are allergen free. No soy, nuts, gluten, animal products. And they are shelf stable which means made of plastic. Cardboard is probably all those things too. WTH are these things made of? Thank goodness we are having pizza.

Morticia! You made me chuckle! I eat rice cakes once in awhile but only as a vessel. You are right, they have no nutritional value. I used to tutor a boy at my school and I had a rice cake. He asked about it so I gave him a piece and he gagged and asked why I was eating cardboard!😂😂😂 Enjoy your pizza. I enjoyed mine! 🩷
