I remembered something else about ketostix - test when you first get up in the morning because a lot of fat burning takes place when you sleep. Probably you get different results at different times of the day, just like weighing.

Thank you, trackin64 - you are right, the test strip was dark this morning. I haven't eaten very much yet I feel full, a tiny bit nauseated. But I think it's the ketosis ramping up.
