My mum had such bad knees that she had one replaced but the other was so incredibly painful. Then she lost 20kg and that knee hardly bothers her at all.

Thanks for your response. At least there is hope in sight. I had bought $70 worth of magnetic knee supports yesterday which did not work maybe they take longer. I am now prioritising losing weight.

My mum has used the "Pain Away" products that contain Arnica, Rosemary and the usual eucalyptus oil and menthol are available in Australia and penetrate well. The one we both use is a roll-on. The product ingredients and the act of rolling it on is quite soothing for joint and muscular pain. My mum found the magnet treatments didn't do a whole lot. Other family members of mine use the shark cartilage products and swear by them for joint pain.

Thanks for the insightful information. I am finding magnetic treatment pretty average next to useless. I might give it a bit more time. I will try the shark cartilage tried it before with chondroitin and it was good.
