Going okay,I am suffering from diminished energy that somehow gets replenished when I go to the gym. My diet is awful (too little) and I need to change that, but waiting to get the body scan done on Saturday so I can see the results of my eating experiments.
134.5 kg Lost so far: 19.6 kg.    Still to go: 47.5 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Dear Eightpac, I have NO real idea and I AM NOT in any way qualified to know, however!!!! I have found my body has resisted moving into ketosis and fat burning for the 3 weeks I've been on this diet (a week before the challenge started). I have been strictly below 1500 RDI and net carbs fluctuate between 10 and 15%. I get those low blood sugar moments, especially at work where I am sedentary (computer). I have developed a technique that has worked well for me for 2 weeks (since I figured it out). Basically I am assuming my body is refusing to do the work of accessing fat because it has been so used to grabbing easy carbs from me for decades...(low blood sugar? Grab a coffee with sugar and a chocolate bar...Fixed...) So NOW I jump up drag myself to the fire escape or catch the lift to ground, and I RUN for 2 - 3 minutes and walk fast for another 3 - 4. (People think I'm in toilet as I'm gone for 5 minutes, but I've just burned 150 cal!) I come back energised and great. Now perhaps it's mental, or perhaps it's blood flow... or perhaps my body says "OMG she means business, I'd better convert some of that sloppy fat into energy for her cos there 'aint any chocolate coming down!".

Hormones, plus increased oxygen intake, plus (if you've got peripheral insulin resistance) exercises help to increase insulin sensitivity.
