Wendy Armitage's Journal, 12 Jun 21

I havent felt like myself in a long long time but these past couple of weeks I have felt a change mentally.

While I havent lost anything on the weight loss scale, i have been focused more on myself and on good habits.

Gotten back into walking. I go every third day. I would do it everyday but my body is not ready for that. I also try to do one thing a day that makes me feel happy.

I haven't felt mentally depressed since doing this, but i feel I can finally say that I am happy.

Yeah, be careful with “weight loss routine”, checking scales every day, obsession with calories, feeling guilt for not exercising is a recipe for an eating disorder. I know, cause been there. Focusing on happiness, acceptance is a good path. Can’t advise what to do exactly cause still figuring it out myself, but do not go all obsessed about weight loss routines. Long term they never work. Feeling good daily is a good enough goal ❤️

@aolichi I don't own a set of scales and i weigh myself once a month at the gym. And i don't follow calories or a weight loss plan either. I pretty much eat whatever as long as there are healthy components.

I pretty much disagree with everything aolichi said. A disciplined approach to nutrition and exercise gives you results. Lack of knowledge and planning leads many people to a self defeating belief that they can’t improve their physical health and lose weight. “You are what you eat” and what you do, how you sleep and what attitude you have. Perspective. It’s so easy to change it.

Good on you! I love seeing posts like this ❤❤❤. A healthy attitude to food, mind, body and spirit. If you felt a change, then that is a sign it is a permanent shift in your attitude which can only lead to good things. Congrats xx
