Greetings my dear Buddies:
Happy Wednesday - well, my Red Sox have lost two games in a row! Argh...but we are going to the final game in the series today and the sun is shining!
ADDENDUM: I did great food wise at all three games. No treats or extra carbs except Monday I had bread with the steak sandwich - but it all was included in the carb count for the day! No beer, no ice cream, no hot dogs! I eat the lettuce wrap sandwiches from Jimmy John's - tasty and low carb.
My body has been rebelling - between the prednisone and the antibiotic nasal spray - my stomach has been a mess! I also know prednisone can cause weight gain - so I am not likely to see a loss this week - fortunately I am back to the gym and feeling much better in the allergy department.
Words of the Week: "You have a choice. You can throw in the towel, or you can use it to wipe the sweat off of your face."
I am dedicated, determined and diligent.

HCB, I choose to wipe the sweat off my face. At least the Red Sox are doing better than my Rockies

I love your "No Excuses!" attitude. And good news: you're probably not going to be on Prednisone long enough to see any weight gain (my doctor has prescribed it for me in the past and I've asked the same Q).

Yes @ Pterath: I grew up in Boston area so it is the same thing for me - ' when you are a little baby in your crib, Daddy rocks you and says, "Red Sox Good, Yankees Bad, Red Sox Good, Yankees Bad." So, it does not matter were I live - I watch all the games on NESN Cable and head to the "yahd" when the boys are in town.
|
I agree "Yankeees Bad", but I am a Rangers boy and they took the series last week. Y'all are here for 4 games starting tomorrow. GO RANGERS

I have a bad reaction to prednisone and decongestants too. But you handled it very well. No beer and hot dogs while watching the ball game? Amazing!
