Just finished running my first full 5K since last year, then finished my lunch hour walking/climbing stairs. 5K time was somewhere between 35 and 36 minutes, not setting any records with it, but that's fine with me. The reasons for doing it are to keep building cardiovascular ability and just overall fitness. Burned 703 calories in 61 minutes according to my fitbit, I'll take that. Since I've already burned more calories today than I'm taking in, I can visualize the rest of the day as if it's a free ride and I'm just burning off fat. Even though I know it doesn't work that simple, it's a nice way to look at it. It's beautiful out here in the DC area, loving a gorgeous Spring day!

Thanks Gene...I've got the exercise portion of this down fine, just need to control what passes through my lips better. But have been on a good track this week, need to keep it up. Yup the cherry trees are blooming nicely, very beautiful.

You have to be so happy to have finished your 5K today!! I used to run those with my neighbor. I always think it's an accomplishment and helps get the weight off as well. Great job!
