Rynni's Journal, 15 Jul 15

Been living off coffee, water, chocolate and 1 meal a day for the last week or so. Have lost weight my pants don't fit anymore. I don't sleep restfully either. The stress of having wisdom teeth removal, personal issues and family issues etc have taken their toll for sure. At the gym am struggling to reach the minimum of easy exercises I usually do. Right now I have a "bouncing" mindset of "I should eat..." but "Why eat when you've lost this much weight? you don't need food, you feel better without it".

First world problems. Hoping all others are well and staying warm this winter xx

That’s tough Rynni, I can relate to your diet, sleeplessness & gym struggles though. Maybe pop a berocca once a day for two weeks & see if that helps give you a boost! The B vitamins may even help with your stress & it's not much more caloric than the ole coffee water :) Good Luck, I support you!

Rynni... You SHOULD eat because you dont perform at the gym. Your gym performance will suffer as long as you dont eqt correctly and this in turn will not enable you to lose more weight and you will stagnate in terms of your eight loss ! Make Protein shakes at home and take Vit D. Not eating is the wrong approach hun.. eating correctly is the right approach. Eat lots of vegies and make soups... You must have eggs as well.. proteins are the key.. it will make you stronger at the gym and this in turn will assist you with losing weight even further. :) Have a good day and keep thinking positive x

Not eating is an unsustainable endeavour that cannot be done for a leghty time.. the key is eating correctly for most of the time in order to support weight loss.

Hi all, thanks so much for your support. I have definitely now felt the negative effects of my diet pattern lately and now am making some changes. I am tackling one thing at a time that are a contributing factor e.g junk food, stress etc. The good news is that I have cut down my junk food intake drastically by making desserts and sweets out of substitute ingredients like tofu, cacao and honey and have made mini frittatas for snacks. I am trying to get some more sleep in and cut my caffeine intake. I've noticed that all i want is something warm so I drink multiple cups of hot water per day and throw in a green tea or two. Thanks again to all and I hope you're all doing well xxxx

Honey is sugar. Sugar makes you fat. Sugar makes you sick. Sugar makes you hungry. Sugar causes depression. Believing that honey is somehow good for you is pretty much why most people here are here. Honey IS healthier than refined white sugar, but then again, filtered cigarettes are better than unfiltered, but I don't think taking up smoking is a good idea. Extreme example, yup, valid example, yup. Same with wholemeal/grain bread. Far better for you than white bread, but still basically poisoning you.
